Learn how to place fixed shapes, clear rows and columns together, and count a 21-point cross-clear in an illustrated example.
How to play Bopbun Block Puzzle
Choose one of three pieces, then choose its anchor on the eight-by-eight board. The anchor is the top-left corner of the piece's outer box. Every part must fit inside the board without overlapping filled squares. Shapes keep their shown orientation; there is no rotation or dragging.
- Select Piece 1, Piece 2 or Piece 3, then tap or click a board square to place it. Hover or keyboard focus previews the position without using the piece.
- Complete an eight-square row or column to clear it. All lines completed by a placement clear together, and their intersections are removed once.
- Use all three tray pieces to receive the next set. If one piece cannot fit, inspect the other unused slots; the round ends only when none can fit.
A tip for your next round
Each placed square earns 1 point, with 10 extra points per completed row or column. A single square completing one crossing row and column earns 21 points and clears 15 squares. Check the whole shape and its current orientation before placing.
How do keyboard controls and New round work?
Use Tab to choose a piece button, then Enter or Space to select it. On the board, arrows move focus without wrapping between rows; Home and End reach the row ends. Enter or Space places once and Escape clears the preview. New round clears the board and resets score and pieces placed. Refreshing also starts over; the current board and results are not saved or synced to an account.
