Open Rings Controls: Rotate, Reset, Zoom and Switch Language
Learn Open Rings’ drag and reset controls, switch its interface to English, and understand what its tutorial says about boosters and gems.
Drag around a ring’s center to rotate it. Double-tap a ring to reset that ring, or hold still for about a second to reset all rings. Use the language control on the home screen if you want English.
Open Rings is easier to approach when you separate moving a ring from moving the view. The puzzle is about freeing connected pieces; zooming and panning help you inspect the connections without guessing at a tiny target.
During our browser check we selected English in the game’s own language menu and entered its tutorial and puzzle board at a phone-sized viewport. The controls below follow that English tutorial.
Switch the game to English
The starting language can follow the game’s saved choice or browser environment. Changing this control affects the game interface; it does not require changing your browser’s general language settings.
- Load Open Rings from its Bopbun game page.
- If a daily-gift panel opens, close it to return to the home screen.
- Choose the language button near the home-screen play controls.
- Select English, then choose Start playing. Use Resume when you are ready to leave the tutorial and enter the board.
Rotate a ring instead of dragging the whole view
Drag around the center of a ring to turn it. Watch where its opening moves relative to the pin or connected piece. The tutorial explains that a ring can fly free when its connections clear, including a closed ring whose connections have been released.
Inspect one connection at a time. If a turn seems to do nothing, zoom in and check whether another piece still blocks the opening. This guide explains the controls rather than providing a fixed rotation sequence for every board.
Use the right reset gesture
A reset is useful when you want to inspect a different approach without restarting the whole game frame. Use the on-screen camera controls when a connection is difficult to see. Availability of actions such as Undo can depend on the current board state.
| Action | Control |
|---|---|
| Reset one ring | Double-tap that ring |
| Reset all rings | Hold still for about one second |
| Zoom in or out | Use the on-screen + and − buttons |
| Move the view | Drag the background |
Read booster costs before using them
The English tutorial describes a Hammer that smashes a selected piece, a Hint that shows a move, and a Firework that clears a random piece. It also states that Hammer and Firework use is recorded and costs a star. Check the current button and prompt before spending a booster if you care about the level rating.
The tutorial says that certain rings award gems when their diamond is collected for the first time. Replaying or resetting does not let you repeatedly collect the same diamond. Treat gem rewards and the shop as in-game systems, rather than assuming every reset gives new rewards.
Make the board easier to use on a phone
Use the on-screen zoom controls until the connection is easy to target. Watch whether you are moving a ring or the background before making a large gesture. If a help panel is open, close or resume it before attempting to turn a ring.
Bopbun’s expanded view can give the game more room. Your in-game progress and language choice are managed by the provider’s game and browser storage; signing into Bopbun does not make that progress sync across devices.
